A Study of Transmission Congestion Effects on Nodal Power Prices Using an Agent-Based Electricity Market Simulator
This paper presents a small electricity market study based on an agent-based power network simulator in deregulated conditions. A simple six node network is modelled in EMCAS to observe effects of transmission line outages and transmission congestion problems. The effects of price variations due to line outages are presented and discussed. Possible economic indexes for power system planning are also discussed.
