Structural analysis of three_metal explosion joint: zirconium-titanium-steel
The paper analyses theory aspects off explosive metal joining. Zirconium was explosively clad on steel over an inter-layer of titanium. The resulting three-metal Zr702-Ti Gr.1(SB265Gr.1)-steel (WSTE355), obtained from starting sheets and plate sizes 1460 x1460 x (90+2+8) mm, was used for fabrication of three metallic clad rounds 1300 x (90+2+8) mm, from which heat exchanger tube-sheets were fabricated - Performed structures analysis by metallographic examinations with mechanical properties joints examinations confirm high quality of explosion welded three-joints.
