Chemical and biological indicators of the Krka River quality at Visovac lake

One year study of chemical and biological indicators of the quality of the Krka in transition from Visovac to Mlinar Lake is reported presently.The purpose of the investigation was to examine characteristics of Visovac Lake with the view to using it for supply of drinking water to the region of Šibenik. Our modified method of determining protein N, total N and total P is described. The investigation has shown a relation between total N, total P, percent of oxygen saturation and population density of plankton communities.............
