Characteristics of high-temperature strength of titanium-aluminum alloy (γ -TiAl alloy) VIT-50
The characteristics of short-term strength in bending and fracture mode of a sheet material and welded joints of high-temperature intermetallic alloy VIT-50 (Ti-48at%Al) have been studied at room temperature and in the range from 500 to 800°C. The welded joints were obtained on sheets of thickness 1-2 mm by the method of electron-beam welding in vacuum.
