Influence of Partial Defoliation on Maturation and Productivity of cv. Sauvignon white (V. vinifera L.)
Removal of 4 and 8 basal leaves from the shoots were compared to non defoliated variant of cv. Sauvignon blanc in the aspect of maturation and productivity. The yield per vine and the average mass of bunches were measured at the harvest. After leaves removal at veraison the content of sugar and total acidity in berries were measured in 12-15 days intervals. At the moment of harvest total sugra content, tartaric, malic and citric acids were measured as well as pH value in the must.
