The model of analyses results interpretation (S.A.R.I.)
Soil analyses reports interpretation has a great role in “ sampling-to-recommendation” procedure. A complexity of diverse aproaches and purposes of soil analyses results interpretations was main cause to develop the computer S.A.R.I model. The S.A.R.I. (Soil Analyses Results Interpretations) model is created to be used by experts and upgraded by scientists. Simple description of how the model works is: i) to give direct interpretation considering single measured soil data (e.g. Cd = 2.2 mg/kg is high total soil cadmium content), ii) to give more interpretations considering purpose of analyses (e.g. Cd = 0.9 mg/kg is boundary value for soils, but still not to high in conventional agriculture whilst to high for organic agriculture) iii) to give more interpretations comparing to alternate soil tests (e.g. simulate value of soil P extracted with ammon-lactate on the base of lab results of soil P extracted with sodium bicarbonate), iv) to conect two or more measured soil data due to bring new information (e.g. pHKCl = 4 and Hy = 2 cmol/kg indicate low CEC), v) to advise additional soil test if benefit could be expected (e.g. soil P extracted with ammon-lactate = 60 mg/kg and organic matter = 5%, thus one could expect benefit information using organic-P soil test). The data, regression and other parts of SARI model are results of more field experiments in Croatia, comparative analyses of soil properties and published papers of numerous authors.
