An automated fuzzy controller design for high-order systems
This paper deals with two methods of automated fuzzy controller design appropriate for fuzzy controllers used in nonlinear inherently stable time varying single-input single-output (SISO) high-order systems, which can be linearized in a selected operating point. Examples of such systems are very often found in the process industry ( e.g. control of temperature, pressure, flow, level, angular speed, position). The first method is a model reference-based design method, while the second one is an error phase plane-based method. By using these methods converted into simple algorithms, the initial setting of fuzzy controller parameters becomes an integrated part of embedded fuzzy controller software. The experimental results obtained in the laboratory setup of a high-order control system have confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed concept
