Perceptibility of the Time Change (Increment) of the Drop of the Acoustical Signal
The examination of the perceptibility of the time change of the drop of the acoustical signal has been done, according to wich the ability of man to assess the minimumu increment of the reverbation time could be concluded. The measuring signals were generated by a computer. Measurements of perceptibility of the change of the increment of the acoustical signal showed that the human hearing apparatus in most cases notices the changes of the signal amplitude between 2% and 5%. Change is a bit more noticed during the simulation of a longer period of reverbation that is slower drop of signal amplitude, regardless of the central frequency of the signal itself.
