Comparison of the fossil fuels and biofuels gas turbines

Use of the gaseous or liquid bio fuels, produced from the biomass sources, for firing in industrial gas turbines have advantages and disadvantages. By comparison with fossil fuels bio fuels have advantages in the environmental benefits in mitigation effect of global warming. Technologies such are biomass-firing represent a high priority in comparison with fossil fuels because of the modest risk involved and the availability of waste biomass in many countries. Disadvantages of the bio fuels are they still higher cost, in necessity of redesign gas turbine-particularly of combustor, in redesign of burners, and an imperative is to decrease a gas turbine emission, particularly CO2 and NOx. This paper present a comparison between using of fossil and bio fuels for industrial and power plant gas turbine.
