Correspondence between the Residual Spectra of Rank Two Split Classical Groups and Their Inner Forms

The residual spectra of split groups SO_4 and Sp_4 are compared with the residual spectra of their inner forms. Interesting local conditions on the occurrence of representations in the residual spectrum in the case of inner forms is obtained.
