THE SIGNIFICANCE OF METHODOLOGY, PEDAGOGY AND COMMUNICATION IN E-EDUCATION
Before choosing the shape of the e-education system for a particular subject or course, it is necessary to define in detail the educational conditions and aims. Students must take a central place when an online learning system is being considered. In order for teaching to be successful, it is vital to know the characteristics of the students to whom the educational methods must be adapted. It is essential to realise that well-managed communications motivate students and influence the e-education results. Communication is developed through the sending and receiving of messages which need to be adapted to informational needs. In distance education, technology is the basis for a number of different forms of communication. When communicating on the Internet it is always necessary to protect the privacy of students, and to define clearly the behavioural norms for all those participating in e-education.
