Economic Aspects of Intellectual Property
Intellectual property is strictly connected with technological improvement, research and innovations. This is the reason why intellectual property has strong impact on economy development. European Union has, in order to decrease its technological and economical left-behind toward world competitors, decided to strictly connect research and development, innovation system and business surrounding. As a support to this intent many assets are directed into knowledge and innovations. EU member states are welcomed to create unique, open and competitive labour market for research in order to obtain innovational strategy. In order to achieve innovation excellence there is a need of investment into education, especially into high education. In economy based on knowledge intellectual property has key role in decision making. Croatian economy is way left-behind from developed countries in this field. This is the reason of starting the program of technological development in Croatia. Program began through establishment the technological institutional infrastructure.
