Soil productivity indicators in the Slavonia and Baranja regions
Land productivity is usually represented by crop yield or animal product pre are unit, depending on soil productivity, climate and agricultural management. In the process of soil productivity, the evaluation is very important in selecting indicators of significant effect on crop yields. The results of physical and chemical analyses of arable soil samples during 2003-2006 in East Croatia (more than 6000 samples) werw statistically analysed and shown depending on determinated soil types. The demands in fertilization and soil conditioning were calculated using ALRxp computer programm according to agrochemical indicators. Fertilazer rcommendations were in the range of 0-875 kg/ha NPK nutrients and liming is recommended on 50% analysed areas. The soil suitabillity estimation was conducted using an original model in line with Liebscher¨s law of optimum. The soil productivity indicators effects area in the same model expressed as a scor functions. The relative soil suitabillity of most soil samples were in the range of 30- 75% unproductive soils were less than 2% and soils with productivity were nearly 20% of analysed samples.
