MUSCULAR EMG ACTIVITY INDEX AS COMPLEMENT RECORDS IN ERGONOMIC ANALYSIS OF VARIOUS TASK ROUTINE COMPLETIONS

Numerous types of analysis, their methods and setup in ergonomics may enclose restricted results, if not inadequate, confusing or misleading. Usually there are numerous reasons which correspond to such result, even if researchers set the most detailed and meaningful analysis. Intent of this paper is to provide objective aspects and their relevance when muscular surface EMG activity index is used as complement record to other data. Analysis of two different approaches to the fixed medical table and upper trunk alignment with table surface as final target is used for this purpose. Analysis provides support for use of surface EMG activity index as complement records, as useful data analogous to electrical work done or energy in monitored muscles during analyzed task completion.
