Socio-economic development sets new standards of ethics and social responsibility. Higher social awareness corresponds to the higher level of assumed ethical standards and social responsibility. Non-acceptance of these standards makes the long-term market survival of the firm questionable.1 Considering the complexity of the modern market what behaviour can be expected in market competitors? How much does the acceptance of an adequate level of business ethics and social responsibility in business operation collide with merciless competition? What is the business practice in transition countries? Are ethics and social responsibility in transition countries markets utopia or competitive opportunity? The relations of global supply and global demand sometimes do not allow the possibility for acceptance of an appropriate level of business responsibility and ethics. Criteria of market survival are set by leaders are increasingly difficult to follow. Sometimes leaders themselves do not comply with the appropriate standards of social responsibility and ethics.
