Dynamic Behaviour of Hydrostatic System Relief Valve
This paper deals with problem of dynamic behaviour of direct acting relief valve used in hydrostatic systems. When working fluid compressibility, spring mass, change of viscosity and clearance between sliding elements are ignored, a differential equation of piston motion can be established. The solution of characteristic equation gives a relation between piston mass, initial spring compression, piston extant from the valve centre, pressure force and damping coefficient. The area of the critical damping is ideal situation, but the undamped vibrations are more anticipated. What can be done in the case of undamped vibrations, this analysis tries to give.
