Save Our Sea - SOS: The Mediterranean

In 1995 the British scientific review NewScientist addressed the issue of the environmental status of the Mediterranean Sea. The front of the journal was headed: The Mediterranean - Dirty, Dangerous and Doomed (NewScientist 145, No 1963: 26-31). Fred earce entitled his article: Dead in the Water in which he explains: attempts to save the grossly polluted Mediterranean seem as doomed as the sea itself.
