Sažetak
No transport industry can function without the basic elements of transport production. This is equally true not only for the conventional transport industry but also for the combined and multimodal transport and traffic industry. One of the basic elements of production is the multimodal information technology. The advent and the wider usage of ITS has resulted in a number of improvements in this field. In transporting dangerous goods the transport user must comply with the regulations of enforcing national law and international conventions that regulate the transport of dangerous goods. In every concrete case, the transport user has to inform the forwarder in writing about the actual properties of the dangerous goods, before the forwarder receives the goods, so that the forwarder, as multimodal transport operator could undertake timely measures that would guarantee the safety of transporting dangerous goods. Transport tracking of dangerous goods represents one of the crucial preconditions of transport safety. This work will present the studies regarding tracking of dangerous goods in ITS environment and show the use of new electronic system for RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) in ITS environment.
