The Sea and Us

The new UNESCO environmental education project SEMEP (South Eastern Mediterranean Sea Environmental Project) addresses high school students and teachers to initiate an interdisciplinary and holistic education effort. The first research based learning effort was concentrated on the thematic issue on the interrelationship of Man and the Sea. Students were encouraged to do local research on beach area and the two man-made structures by the sea. Many students and teachers from the whole of the Adriatic Coast have taken the active part in these studies.The first Croatian SEMEP Summer School was organized in Rovinj and the first International Summer School in the American Farm School in Thessaloniki, Greece
