How the New EU Member States (CEECs) Cope With Immigration: Lessons for Croatia
This paper examines migration movements in regard to immigration to four Central-East European countries: the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia, comparing their migration policies, asylum policies and their policies regarding the integration of immigrants. It breifly presents the main characteristics of migration policies in the Republic of Croatia. It also wishes to point out that the experience in this area that has been gained and is still being gained by Central-East European member states of the EU can help Croatia in conceptualising its migration and integration policies.
