Retail-Sale Internationalization: A Generator of Development
The paper discusses quantitative and qualitative indicators of retail-trade capacity development in the Republic of Croatia. It shows some evidence that Croatia lags in retail capacity development in comparison to other European Union (EU) countries. The requirements and possibilities of retail-trade internationalization in the Republic of Croatia are evaluated pursuant to the retail-trade saturation analysis and market potentials. Also discused are some positive and negative internationalization effects in other countries as well as requirements for internationalization and for expansion of Croatian`s overall and company-level retail-trade. The paper also explores possible retail business cooperation from as well as mechanisms whereby the working of marketing in a society transformewd through internationalization.
