Investigating the positioning edge accuracy of sensors in textile and clothing manufacture

Purpose – The research of different types of sensors suitable for various fabrics Design/methodology/approach – On measuring device is possible to install different types of sensors (optical, capacitive, pneumatic, and in different constructions barrier or reflective) on the slide holders and to change their interspaced as well as the space between the sensors and textile fabric Findings – The new measuring equipment has been established. Research limitations/implications - Only the results of woven fabric measurement are analyzed in this paper, while the results of knitted and nonwoven fabric measurement will be elaborated in the future papers.
