Managing the business culture of selective forms of tourism in sustainable development
The selection of a business culture is a factor vital to the successful performance of any entrepreneurial system relative to the environment in which it operates. Globalisation processes and market challenges are imposing upon owners and managers the issue of selecting a business culture as part of a company’ s business policy. A business culture that has reached a satisfactory level will exert a direct impact on a company’ s performance. Practise shows that the profitability of companies, especially service companies, which have a well-developed business culture in terms of style and image, is considerably greater than that of companies that tend to neglect this issue. In this paper, the authors examine the importance of creating and sustaining a business culture for employees, as well as for managers, in the tourism industry. They focus on the role and importance of managing a business culture, and on the business conduct of managers in tourism companies engaged in selective forms of tourism.
