Results of EUREKA Research Project on Fire Resistant Materials for Secondary Tunnel Lining

The European economy relies heavily upon a sustainable development of the transportation system, in which tunnels are a key element. The safety level of the tunnels has decreased in the last decades, since the traffic growth was really significant. In this presentation summary of the results of EUREKA project E!2823 FIRE-TUNNEL ''Precast Fire Resistant Segments For Secondary Tunnel Lining'' was given, which main goals were directed towards increased tunnel safety of the future tunnel structures.
