Landslide susceptibility mapping in the Starca Basin (Croatia)
The objective of this paper is to evaluate the quality of input data for landslide susceptibility mapping in the area of small catchment, located in the hilly areas of Panonian basin in Croatia. Detailed geomorphological landslide map was generated together with landslide causal factor maps, including morphology, hydrology, lithology and land use. All datasets were generated at the scale 1:5000. The weights of evidence method was used to generate statistically derived weights for all classes of the factor maps. On the basis of total weights, the most relevant maps were selected for the further conditional analysis on unique condition units. Visual evaluation of overlapping of landslide susceptibility zones and landslides shows that the most of landslides are correctly placed in high susceptibility areas. It is concluded that the content and quality of input data are satisfactory for better understanding of regional landslide cause and for establishing susceptibility model.
