Analysis of ratio S/N at NIR reflection on different moisture soil samples
In this paper one of the metods of separating signal from noise is explaned. Determining moisture soil is accomplished with two NIR wavelenghts (1800 nm and 1940 nm). We measured two reflected wavelenghts with a PbS detector. Those signals are coverted by noise. There are three sources of noise: flicker, photon and thermal. If there was a change of samples moisture by 1% than it can not be detected in the noise. By generating a similar noice like on the detector and subtracting from entire signal, it gets useful signals.
