Theoretical principles for the time calculations of the port and mobile crane paths
The lenght of the cargo path, the speed and acceleration (deceleration) of some crane motions represent the main factors on which the duration of the duty cycle of a crane depends. From the point of view of shortening the duration of the duty cycle of a crane, it is very important to achieve the vertical and horizontal motion of a crane simultaneously. By evaluating the physical parameters of the superimposed horizontal and vertical motions, one can define the theoretical bases for the time calculations of port and mobile cranes path. The author's time calculations of the port and mobile cranes path is based on the research on the elementary flow of goods, time calculations of the horizontal components of the crane motion as well as on the evaluation done by means of emphirical formulae. The theoretical principles of such a research can be used in practice too and are, therefore, adapted to the electronic computers calculations.
