Sažetak
The differential cross sections for elastic scattering of H ions from aluminum were measured at scattering angles of 120°, 150° and 165° in the energy range from 2.4 to 5 MeV where no data relevant to backscattering analysis were previously reported. It was found that in the studied energy interval excitation functions show complex resonance structure with significant deviation from the Rutherford value. The benchmark experiment at 4.2 and 5.0 MeV was performed in order to test how measured cross sections can interpret thick target yield from pure Al target.
