Attempt to assay the graft-versus-host reaction of mouse lymphoid cells by the popliteal lymph-node reaction

Hybrid mice were injected with parental-strain lymph node cells in the foot pad in an attempt assay the ensuing grft-versus-host reaction in terms of the enlargement of the regional (popliteal) lymph node. The technique was not reliable in that the nodes of control mice, injected with syngeneic cells, became engorged as well.
