Sažetak
The aim of the study was detection of the resulting internal stress, manifested as deformations and fractures in dental hard tissues or in the composite material, using double-exposure holographic interferometry. On a proximal side of ten intact human permanent premolars, direct class II cavity was prepared and restored with self-etching adhesive Clearfill SE Bond (Kurraray, Japan) and Tetric Ceram (Vivadent, Schaan, Liechtenstein) composite resin. In five of them Tetric Flow (Vivadent, Schaan, Liechtenstein) was used as an elastic layer. The samples were illuminated by helium-neon laser beam and the holograms of samples were recorded using the photographic plates Agfa 10E75. Hologram reconstructions were captured by an 8-bit monochrome CCD camera and qualitatively analysed. The deformations and fractures appear as fringe patterns on all interferograms, where the distribution of fringes gives the location information while the density of fringes gives the amplitude information. We observed greater fringe densities in samples treated without flowable composite.
