Generic Approach to Computer Vision

Today's Computer Vision (CV) systems are mostly created using traditional procedural languages and low level programming to efficiently use capabilities of underlaying hardware platforms. Due to highly specific applications, every CV system demands custom development and implementation according to the specific requirements. Development of CV systems using procedural languages is associated with difficult extensibility and complicated reuse of previously produced solutions. This work introduces implementation of the generic software component using the object-oriented approach aimed to create foundation which can simply be extended and reused to develop CV solutions for different applications.
