Experimental observation of juvenile pine wood at plane milling
At present modern machine and technological equipments and new technological procedures allow row material with lower dimensions, which was used only for fibrous material in the past, or as fuel – wood. Just this material contains higher content of juvenile wood which is near the pith, in trunk and branches. Growing trees produce juvenile wood in every age. From this reason, it is very important to point out differences of juvenile wood, for its industrial utilization. The technological process of plane milling was experimentally followed (Rousek, Holopírek, 2002), and influence of various changes of basic technological parameters (cutting speed, feeding speed) as well as various angle geometry of cutting tool on cutting power of milling process, wear of cutting edge and on chip formation.
