Computerized driving analysis of EEG provoked by using intermittent photic stimulation
Based on the old knowledge that unilateral hemispheric damage reduces brain’ s capacity of synchronization with the fast rhythmic exterior stimuli, e.g. intermittent photic stimulation evident in photic driving, we tried to develop a method which could give us the objective measure of the lesion. Therefore we have decided to analyze the ratio between the frequency of stimulation and provoked rhythmic cerebral response. Response variability during the time of stimulation and the amplitude and phase values of the averaged cerebral responses are taken into consideration. The variety between the opposite hemispheres recording, using different stimulating frequencies and bipolar and monopolar recording techniques are of special interest.
