The Computerised Electrical Energy Management System for Industrial Production Systems

The use and the advantages of distributed microprocessor system for electrical energy management in industrial production systems are described. The system operation is based on the information of power flows, total 15 minutes load and time synchronisation with accounting parameters. This information gives the very new possibilities for energy planning and the levelling of a load diagram, all with the scope to reduce the electric energy costs. While the quantity of consumed energy is mainly determined by the type and the amount of production, the peak load can be often cut down with the better planning and changes in the organisation of production activities. Further possibility for the reducing of the maximum 15 min load is the generation of extra energy by using own power supplies, usually diesel generator sets. This demands energy negotiation based on the ability for the anticipating of the load trends. The effects of the peak load cutting depend on the correct delimitation and the choice of control algorithms, which have to be based on the analysis of the expected load. Due to the correlation between consumed electrical energy and working operations, the monitoring system can also be used to provide the accurate information of working activities.
