Joining of Scientific-Research and Educational Function in Mechanical Engineering

Market economy conditions and the wish for surviving in the market demand a more quality product with some or reduced costs. Increase of productivity and ensuring of the quality requires new discoveries, research and qualified production workers, all on regular basis. Scientific-Research organizations direct their research towards applicable research. Rational use of creative cadre also understands the optimal way of organising of research organizations in regards to ecconomical subjects. The paper depicts how the joining of scientific-research and educational function may produce better results, and as a precondition it is necessary to choose the optimal way of organising of scientific-research organisations. Using the group choice method in the case of the Hercegovacko-neretvanski canton (Canton) mechanical engineering it is shown which way is the optimal way of organising of scientific-research organisations in order that scientific-research and edutional function in mechanical engineering would give the maximal results.
