Strain Energy Approach in Forming Processes Evaluation
This paper presents the use of numerical strain energy approach in order to evaluate forming processes regarding strain energy. By means of this approach the energy consumption in forming process can be made at the start stage of design, before tools and process parameters are set. The multi factorial experimental design applying in the modeling and adaptive control in the processes with more variables was used for numerical modeling, simulations and experimental investigations of determined processes. Stamping process of TS 275, backward extrusion process of Al Mg Si 1 and deep drawing process of Al 99.5 F7 are used as examples. Also, numerical simulations of the mentioned process are presented
