The influence of different pollinators on grapes quality and quantity of Vitis vinifera cultivar Muscat rose of Poreč
Muscat rose of Porec has functionally a pistillate inflorescence, so the inpolination has to be done by other cultivars. Therefore the research was carried out 1995 and1996 on influence of three pollinators (Merlot, Teran and Borgonja) on the yield and grape quality of Muscat rose of Poreč. The highest yields gave the vines where the pollinators was Borgonja, then polinated by Teran and the lowest pollinated by Merlot. At vines pollinated by Borgonja and Teran predominated big berries and middle big berries. As the fact of clusters compactness, the most of vines pollinated by Merlot were with loose clusters, while at those pollinated by Borgonja and Teran, the most of vines were with middle compact clusters. The most contents of sugar and the lowest contents of acids had the must from the vines pollinated by Merlot, middle concetration of sugar and acids by Teran, but the lowest of sugar and the highest of acid pollinated by Borgonja. Merlot gaves the grapes with thehighher sugars concentration and lowest acids along the lowest yields, Borgonja gaves highest yield with less sugar and more total acids, but Teran is in the midle.
