Supported Employment in Croatia

The model of supported employment for adult people with intellectual disabilities developed and implemented in Croatia will be presented. This model was developed by the Association for Promoting Inclusion over the last 7 years. The program is based on the model of first placement and includes the following steps: - person centered assessment of interests and needs of the person, - working with the person to find and appropriate workplace and to secure employment, - workplace analysis and adjustment, - training on the workplace with the assistance of a job-coach (training on the job model, - providing comprehensive, continuous and flexible support at the workplace. The implementation of this program is monitored and assessed and the quality of the work experience of the clients is evaluated.
