South-Eastern Enlargement of the EU - Quo vadis Croatia?
The year 2007, scheduled for the accession of Rumania and Bulgaria, will pre-sent in relation to enlargement a new question: “ Will the Union have sufficient will, power and possibilities to open particular enlargement, as it did in case of Greece in 1981 and thus repeat a “ single country enlargement” , or will Croatia share the train with Turkey that, according to analysts, may prove to be a slowing factor for negotiation with Croatia?” Even more so when keeping in mind that the Republic of Croatia has already been for a long time in a waiting room for EU membership. During the past few years Croatia faced the obstacle of claims that it did not fully cooperated with the ICTY.
