Strategy of Tourism in Istria for Competing on the Tourist Market upon Tourism Offer Reformation
The advantage of Croatia, and especially Istria, lies in the fact that its tourism resources have not been depleted, and that Istria is still far from achieving optimum occupancy rates in the existing capacities of its tourist trade. Istria has already established itself as a tourist destination having a clearly favourable geographical position, which gives it an edge over other Mediterranean tourist region. The aim of paper is to present Istria, Croatias most eveloped tourist region, which, despite its potential. is not achieving the results it could. The primary cause of this is the inadequate quality of the offer and services. Tourism in Istria can be revitalised through carefully formulated activities i.e. through the implementation of the strategy proposed herein.
