TCD - One Side Image is Missing
Goal is to point to the fact of one side TCD image missing with good technical image on the other side, which has to be understood as warning since something is going on. Material and Methods: We are presenting here 3 patients, to whom was missing one side of TCD image, branch of Willis circle. 1st case: a boy of 2 yeas of age, with motor weakness of the right side of the body. TCD? missing image on the left side of arteries of Willis circle MRA? hypoplasia ACI right. 2nd case: female of 40 years of age, has vertigo and headache, TCD? missing image of the left side ; on the right side increased value of SBSK. CT of brain? Tumor left temporal, v.s. Meningeoma. 3rd case: female of 67 years of age ; mild vertigo from time to time ; TCD? missing image on the right side, CT of brain? Tumor right temporoparietal, v.s. Meningeoma. Conclusion: Missing image of artery branches of Willis circle by TCD on one side with good image of the other side should be always taken as alarm and search for cause. TCD as non-invasive method, even "blind", is very useful as warning that something is going on, when image on one side is missing.
