Pilot plant of biodiesel fuel in Croatia

This paper presents a pilot plant of biodiesel fuel in the Republic of Croatia with the capacity of 10, 000 tons per year. The main raw material is rape seed with expected yield of 3.30 t/ha. This means that it is necessary to provide 8, 482.1 ha of agricultural areas per year from which 28, 007.3 tons of rape could be obtained. We get 10, 400 tons of crude oil and 17, 085 tons of cake from the obtained quantity of rape and 1, 940 tons of glycerine. The total cost of pilot plant is 6 015 000 euros
