Measuring Labour Market Policies' Efficiency in Croatia
The significance of active labour market policies as a means to combating unemployment is increasing. They are applied purposefully to enable easier transfer of employees between particular workplaces, and among employed, unemployed and inactive workers. In other words, they strive to accelerate labour demand and supply adjustment in the labour market. Concerning their importance, this work is directed to their development and efficiency in decreasing unemployment. Measuring the efficiency of active labour market policies with respect to the adjustment of labour market supply and demand is questionable for the majority of countries, due in large part to short times-series data continuality. The empirical part of the work is directed on applicability and measuring of efficiency of single active labour market policies in Croatia during transition period by which the most applicable, effective measure will be estimated.
