Electrochemical determination and role of the folic acid in natural waters
Determination of the folic acid in natural waters was possible due to the development of very sensitive electrochemical method- cathodic stripping voltammetry (CSV). Method is very selective , sensitive and folic acid could be determined at the levels present in natural waters, without any preconcentration.Folic acid belongs to a group of B- vitamins and is present in natural waters due to its production by green algae and cyanobacteria.Folic acid is present in the Adriatic sea in the concentration range 0.1-22 nM.
