Value-Chain Management
The new economy, or the economy of knowledge, is characterized by networking. What is crucial in such processes is a competent management. Managers decide on the application of a particular organizational architecture, create proper system of organizational values, and are thus responsible for smooth and efficient funcioning of business processes. Value creation increasingly takes place within interconnected virtual organizations. Virtual teams make a basic form of recruiting human resources in cyberspace. The networked virtual organizations and the virtual teams inside them must be run by business leaders who have a vision of doing business in the digital economy. This implies an in-depth understanding of the value creation process, which in turn allows efficient management of a value chain consisting of several added-value sources. Value-chain creation and management is also not possible without using modern information technology. Generally speaking, value generation nowdays is largely based on intangible resources and processes. Learning, knowledge management and innovation became crucial elements of success. Regonition and delivery of customers value is major task of any successful organization.
