Comparison of Non-Linear MESFET Models Over 1-12 GHz Frequency Range And -25 ˚ C to 105 ˚ C Temperature Range
This paper is an extension of work done previously on the comparison of non-linear MESFET models [1, 2]. Models that are compared include Curtice Quadratic, Curtice Cubic, Statz, Materka, Advanced Materka, Angelov, Alpha Dispersion and TOM3. The DC, C-V and IMD3 characteristics of each model are compared at different temperatures. The comparison is based on a) the relative error between the measured and simulated DC I-V and C-V data, and b) average error of fundamental gain and IMD3 over 1-12 GHz frequency range and -20 to +18 dBm range of input power. Based on a simple ranking system, Angelov model provides the best overall performance.
