Measuring Real Usability of ITS
Standardized ISO definitions of usability (or "quality in use ") have to be adapted to ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) context in order to achieve real usability measures. Broad definition of usability includes effectiveness (accuracy and completeness with which users achieve certain goals), efficiency (relation between certain goals and resources expanded in achieving them), and satisfaction (as users' comfort). Human scale of ITS (HSoITS) can be considered as separate aspects related with usability. A general relation between effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction and human scale of ITS depends on context, application domain, user experience, etc. The propose of this paper and background research is to emphasize importance of holistic measuring of all relevant aspects of ITS usability.
