Proposal for electromagnetic torque estimation
In this paper the proposal for electromagnetic torque estimation for AC slip-ring motor is inestigated. Basicaly, two methods are propsed: electromagnetic torgue estimation based on DC stator voltage and current values and electromagnetic torgue estimation based on the AC stator voltage and currents values. The comparison was made and adequately hardware proposal is made based on the Analog Devices ADMC300 digital signal processor (DSP). It is strongly recommanded to ABB that for real time torque observer, two link voltages and two phase currents should be measured for electromagnetic torque calculation. In this way hardware adjustments will be minimized. Experimental verification of proposed solution is made on the ASTAT model in laboratory of FER (Department of Electric Machines, Drives and Automation)on existed hardware platform (the same as for the rotor voltage frequency estimation)
