Complete Francis turbine fluid flow simulation

The paper presents simulation of entire Francis turbine fluid flow. Calculation domain contains all tandem cascade and runner channels and no averaging is applied in circumferential direction. The simulation was carried out with the commercial fluid flow software Fluent. Computational grids are handled in parallel by domain decomposition on Linux cluster. Geometry definition and grid definition was performed with the Fluent preprocessor Gambit. Calculated results are compared with the measurement.
