Complex-q zeros of the partition function of the one-dimensional Potts model with power-law decaying interactions
We have performed exact analytical calculations of the partition function of the one-dimensional ferromagnetic q-state Potts model with interactions decaying with distance r as r^{; ; ; ; ; -(1 + \sigma)}; ; ; ; ; on finite chains of N \leq 13 sites. The partition function is presented in form of the polynomial in q, and its zeros in complex-q plane were evaluated numerically. The zeros are found to lie on the circle-like contours, which form a gap around the positive real q-axis. We study the scaling of the edge zeroes in function of size N in order to determine the phase diagram, order of transition and critical exponents.
